We discovered Unravel Tea at a local Arts and Crafts Fair. Donna’s tea had come highly recommended so we purchased a selection to try. Best mint tea ever!!! We just had to have a selection of her teas in our boxes.
Based in Aberdeen, Donna created Unravel Tea after an inspiring trip to China where she got to taste some amazing teas. We asked Donna to share with us her reasons for setting up Unravel Tea, here’s what she had to say...
"After an awful experience with supermarket bought teas, I vowed never to touch it again; it was bitterly unpalatable. However a friend kept feeding me peppermint tea. Knowing teabags were not for me I purchased and infused peppermint leaves. So refreshing and flavourful. Horror of horrors I was cut off from my peppermint supply! Given my aversion to teabags I decided to wait for the delayed shipment. My digestive system had a lot to say about this, turns out I was treating a problem I didn’t realise I suffered from. Hello IBS diagnosis! Delving further into herbal medicine, if simple peppermint can help digestion what else was I missing? This prompted the creation of our Fiery Mint infusion, blending peppermint, spearmint and ginger. Mint, which the doctor prescribed for IBS, with ginger which traditionally has been used for it’s anti-nausea and anti-spasmodic properties. In 2016 I set up my own company to bring this fantastic tea experience to others. Welcome to my world of amazing teas."
